Excellent Agility Dogs
In January of 2006 when the AKC approved the Leonberger for participation in AKC agility events, Denver (Cherrywood's Lion of Barque Harbor) and Nautica (Forever Green's Nautica) began their pursuit of AKC agility titles. Document.
Denver competed in three trials in 2006 beginning in June and achieving his Novice Standard Agility Title at the Oriole Dog Training Club in Westminister, Maryland in December 2006. In August, he became the first Leonberger to win an AKC Excellent title in agility with an Excellent Jumpers Preferred Title (AJP). He now has two Legs towards his Masters Jumpers Preferred Title. He attained his Open Standard Preferred Agility Title (OAP) at the Delaware County Kennel Club Trial on March 2, 2008. He has two legs towards Open FAST Preferred and two legs toward a Rally Advanced Title. He also has a LCA CD with two AKC legs.
Nautica was the first Leonberger with and AKC Excellent Standard Preferred Title (AXP) and the first to Earn both an Excellent Standard Preferred and Excellent Jumpers Preferred Title (AJP). She now has 3 legs in Excellent B Standard Agility. She also has a Novice FAST Preferred Title (NFP) with an Open Leg and a Rally Novice title with one advanced leg.
