Purpose: The purpose of the Show Committee (SC) is to assist the Board in matters related to shows, competitions, and the earning of points and titles for LCA registered Leonbergers. The SC shall have the ability to propose show related policy to the board. They shall advise, assist and educate the board, competitors, and the membership on shows and show related matters. Composition: Only the Board may appoint SC members. The SC shall be comprised of 3 ? 7 members. Each year, or upon vacancy of the position, the SC shall appoint a chair from among its members subject to ratification by the Board at the annual meeting but prior to the general meeting. Terms of office shall be three (3) years, and shall be staggered so that no more than three (3) members go off the SC each year. The SC may also utilize approved associate (non-voting) members at its discretion. There is no current limit on the number of associate?s that the SC may appoint. The SC also has a designated ex-officio member which is the LCA Points Secretary. The Points Secretary may be a full voting member of the SC but may also simply be an ex-officio member as the position works hand in hand with the SC.
