LeoLetter
The LeoLetter is a wonderful quarterly magazine which includes club business, minutes, reports, letters, lots of pictures, and stories from LCA members. Visit the Leo Letter website.
Regional Clubs
LCA Regional clubs exist across the country to meet the needs of regional groups of Leonberger owners and lovers. Most clubs put on many local events such as Leo Walks, LCA-Sanctioned conformation and obedience shows, educational seminars, and much more. Starting in 2011 the LCA will provide AKC Leonberger Standalone Specialties as well as Designated Leonberger Specialties and Supported Entries at All Breed AKC Conformation Shows.
Conformation & Obedience Trials
The LCA provides LCA-sanctioned conformation shows via its annual National Specialty, as well as through the LCA Regional Clubs. Obedience trials are also regularly put on at both the National and at regional shows. AKC Registered Leonbergers can now fully participate in all AKC events.
Educational Seminars
We always have varied interesting speakers at our National Specialties to conduct educational seminars for our members. Many LCA Regional Clubs also provide opportunities for educational seminars at their local events.
Certificate Programs
The LCA has numerous programs for Leonberger owners including the Conformation Certificate program for spayed/neutered dogs, the Therapy Award for dogs who are actively participating in therapy work, Versatile Leonberger Awards to recognize those dogs achieving multiple working titles, and much more.
Active Health Committee
The LCA's Health, Research, and Education Committee has been actively involved in numerous research projects pertaining to the Leonberger and provides an informational website at www.leowatch.org as well as maintaining an Open Health Registry database.
Active relationship with Leonberger Rescue
