Purpose: The purpose of the election committee (EC) is to assist the board by conducting Club elections in a fair and efficient manner, following the LCA By-Laws. The Election Committee shall have only such powers and duties as prescribed in Article IV of the LCA By-Laws, and/or by the Board, not inconsistent with the By-Laws.
Composition: Only the board may appoint Election Committee members. The EC shall be comprised of 3 to 7 members. Each year, or upon vacancy of the position, the EC shall appoint a Chair from among its members subject to ratification of the Board at the annual meeting but prior to the annual meeting. Terms shall be for 3 years, and shall be staggered so that no more than 3 members go off the EC each year.
